I am a litigator, a good one. I represent clients in a wide variety of real estate and business litigation, including complex commercial disputes and residential and commercial real estate matters. Being a good litigator requires knowing when to be aggressive and when to be conciliatory so that you can provide the most cost-effective representation during all facets of litigation. I like a good fight, I am a litigator after all, but fighting every step of the way is not usually in the best interest of your client. I am proud to say that I have been recognized each year as a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers®, a distinction afforded to only the top 2.5% of attorneys in the State of Michigan.
Prior to joining C&R all I did was litigate. Previously, I worked for a nationally recognized law firm defending corporations and manufacturers in highly publicized product liability and other commercial cases. Now, in addition to litigation, I assist clients with transactional real estate and business, including zoning and land use, construction, property tax, business torts, landlord-tenant, and employment issues. Doing both makes you better at both. Being a litigator really makes you read the fine print.
I am loyal and I prefer to skip the drama. I married my high school sweetheart and have two nearly perfect daughters. The three of them bring me more laughter and light than I could have ever imagined possible. I love my work, and I love my life even more. With two little ones, keeping the balance is not always easy, or possible, but it is always full, and mostly fun, and if not fun, at least a little funny.
