I am a lawyer by choice. My nature does not allow me to be apathetic. If I commit myself to something, I’m all in. I will dig into every detail of an issue to ensure my clients are protected and to find the solution that is best for them. For better or worse, my client’s issues become my own and I pride myself on planning ahead, thinking outside the box, and crafting unique solutions when needed. True to form, I excelled in school, attending Wayne State University and Wayne State Law School on full academic scholarships, and graduating with honors and near the top of my class, as well receiving several academic merit awards.
After law school, I found myself drawn to cases where I could assist clients and navigate complex business or regulatory matters. At Cooper & Riesterer, I handle all aspects of business law and litigation, including offering specialized knowledge in healthcare, employment, and franchise law. I also assist clients with estate planning and administration matters by drafting effective estate plans that meet their needs, as well as advising personal representatives and trustees on all aspects of the estate administration process. I get tremendous satisfaction from seeing the relief on my client’s faces when I am able to translate the complex into something understandable and manageable.
I am a mom to a perfect little daughter. I am also an avid bee-keeper and a fitness addict. Being a life-long Michigander, I take every opportunity to squeeze in a backpacking or camping trip, or a trek up to my family’s cabin near Newberry to enjoy the natural wonders my state has to offer. Fitness and nature have always centered me, and my ever joyous inquisitor sidekick is nearly always thrilled to join me on my outings. Being a working mom demands balance. By taking time to experience the greater world through the eye of a child, it finds you.
