Growing up with a surgeon for a father and a college professor for a mother, my career visions always involved professional roles. When I crossed medicine off the list, I went to Purdue University and majored in Political Science and History. After graduating and working a series of political consulting jobs in Washington, D.C, I hit a career crossroads that took me to a national commercial real estate company. There, I discovered my love of real estate and realized my true path was to become a lawyer. That path brought me back to Michigan. Though my hometown is Kalamazoo, my heart is in Traverse City where I spent wonderful summers working at various pizza and sandwich shops. Now, I practice law amidst all of the natural beauty of the Traverse City area along with the people here who appreciate it as I do.

When working with clients, I strive to provide the utmost skill and proficiency while recognizing their unique needs. In addition to all areas of real estate, my practice includes civil litigation and business transactions. Whether a client is establishing a business, obtaining a liquor license, negotiating a real estate transaction, or needing a litigator, I have the experience to assist. I am comfortable in the courtroom and love to represent all clients with vigor and respect.

When I find free time, I love to get out and enjoy the beauty of northern Michigan. Whether golfing, boating, skiing, or just enjoying a day at the beach, fresh air activity is my choice. And, being an extrovert, I love to meet people along the way. Friends also say I am a bit of a foodie. Finding new restaurants and venues serving up fresh and interesting food and drink is always a goal and the Traverse City area has no shortage.
